St. Mary Magdalene Schomberg / Christ Church Kettleby- COMBINED services on Sundays throughout the month of August, 10:30AM

Presently, Rev. Sheilagh Ashworth is on leave. The congregation of the Anglican Parish of Lloydtown, which includes St. Mary Magdalene in Schomberg, the St. Alban’s community in Nobleton, and  Christ Church in Kettleby is asking for prayers for our very own Rev. Sheilagh Ashworth. We believe in the power of prayer and remain faithful in God’s plan and healing hand. Sheilagh has given so much of herself to our church and our community like no other for the past 10+ years. Strong in faith, Sheilagh has provided personal prayers, blessings and anointment to people in need well beyond our parish; launched a number of community outreach initiatives, such as the Schomberg Country Run in support of clean water for Pikangikum; and engaged our youth through numerous activities, including Summer Day Camp at Christ Church. Now, more than ever, it is our time to give ourselves, thoughts and prayers to her and her family.

Dear Lord, we humbly pray for all those who are fighting cancer. Give them the hope and courage they need each day. Comfort them in their pain and bless them with the power of healing. Strengthen their family, friends and caregivers. We remain strong in faith and lift them to you, Lord, in your loving care. Amen.

Thank you for keeping Rev. Sheilagh and her family in your prayers.

Schomberg Country Run – Saturday, September 28th @ St. Mary Magdalene: Lace up for the Schomberg Country Run in support of the clean drinking water initiative for Pikangikum and the work of the Anglican Parish of Lloydtown (Kettleby, Nobleton & Schomberg).

The volunteer committee is pleased to announce that Mim Harder will start the event with a smudging ceremony – custom of indigenous cultures for centuries as a way to create a cleansing smoke bath that is used to purify the body, aura, energy, ceremonial/ritual space or any other space and personal articles.

To support, volunteer, participate and/or sponsor, please contact Carol Ann Trabert from the volunteer committee at 416-559-7898 for more information.
