Faithworks

FaithWorks – the annual appeal of the Diocese of Toronto – provides support to 18 Ministry Partners helping people in need throughout our diocese and around the world.

FaithWorks was created in 1996 in response to parish concerns about unsustainable parish assessments.  At that time, a bold decision was made to remove outreach ministry support in order to trim $1 million from the diocesan budget.  It was a controversial decision, but one that has proven to be even more successful than imagined.   Since that time, the diocesan budget has continued to contract, while the level of FaithWorks funding has grown.

You can also make a donation to FaithWorks through Christ Church Kettleby and St. Mary Magdalene, who will forward the funds on your behalf and issue you a tax receipt. Click here to make an online donation.

Please visit http://www.faithworks.ca/ to learn how your support is providing help and hope to some of our most marginalized sisters and brothers.

St. Paul wrote that it is “God’s power working in us that can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine” (Ephesians, 3:20).   Let these words be a blessing and give you hope for a future where we think not about scarcity, but about abundance.   And please remember those who are still in need with your gifts of prayer and financial support.
